As you may know, the Paladin is a hybrid who can tank, deal damage or heal, and as such there are a lot of different aspects to cover. A good paladin guide should cover various talent builds, gear for all purposes, gameplay advice for all class roles, and more.
Killer Guides Paladin Guide covers all of that. These 230 pages covers all insightful comments, advices and discussions that are trully useful for players.
This guides takes you from fundamentals of which abilities you’re going to use and when to use them, how to heal, tank and DPS effectively.
Here are some of the best part the we think you’ll definitely like:
- The equipment guide (Tons of gear options here, from quests, crafting professions, instances and world drops. Also separate sections for your different roles)
- The talents section (In-depth discussions of every talent, updated for WotLK.)
- The gameplay tips throughout the guide. This is where you actually learn how to play. This is what separates a good paladin from a bad paladin.
The guide covers a lot more than that, but you can read more about that on Killer Guides’ website. In my opinion, it delivers on most of its promises although there is always some hype of course.
As for future updates, they are free and this guide has been updated at least 8 times the past 2 years, so there should hopefully be timely updates available going forward.
Do there are some things are not updated for 70-80 yet, namely: PvP strategies, addons & macros (many of those still work, but not all), and some of the leveling builds contain slight errors (not all points distributed and such).
Conclusion
This guide will be a great help to most leveling paladins. If you’re already level 80 and know how to play well, you won’t learn much here.
It is largely up to date with WotLK, delivers on most of its promises and is quite accurate. With some more fine tuning it could be even better.
