World of Warcraft is a very exciting MMORPG for both beginners and the experts. With that in mind, the higher the level of your World of Warcraft avatar, the more you’ll get the maximum enjoyment for the game. The population is divided into two trains of thoughts when it comes to leveling their World of Warcraft characters: leveling through questing and leveling through grinding. Let me explain grinding first.
Grinding simply means running around the area that has monsters and mobs close to your character’s level and killing them on sight.
The mobs regenerate or respawn after a certain period of time, most in seconds and most in minutes. They will also give you decent items and experience points to help your character level. You can also pick up items that you can sell at the Auction house or in nearby vendors. If you plan on using this method of leveling, it’s best to save up your money and buy the largest bags that you can possibly afford to help you gather and farm for items as you go along with your grinding. Killing enemies that have higher levels than you may give you higher experience points but they will wear down your gear faster and the chance to be killed during the battle is high. Always keep an eye out on your surroundings and be careful so that you won’t draw too much attention from nearby mobs. Always keep your potions in hand when things get rough to restore your health and also have decent amounts of food and water to restore mana/health in between fights. If your character has special abilities to help you keep alive during a battle, use them wisely, as cooldowns may restrict your character from using the same skill for a limited amount of time.
Questing on the other hand is a method of leveling that involves completing quests that are setup in the game for you.
Most of these quests will give out large amounts of experience points and many are a lot of fun to complete. Same with the grinding method, make sure to keep lots of food and water in your inventory as you do your quest/s. Sometimes it’s quicker to complete quests when you share it with other characters that are the same level as you are or those that have the same quests. Some quests however would involve the method of grinding as they would require you to collect items that certain mobs drop, or you are within the area where the items are most likely to drop.
I have found that most people enjoy doing quests than grinding, as grinding ends up being mundane and tedious. Questing enables you to enjoy the game much more and you will also be able to see the side of Azeroth that only quest-ers see.
