WoW: Wotlk Deathknight Runeforging Guide
*Level like a god with Team Idemise Leveling guides*

With World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Blizzard Entertainment introduced a lot of new great improvements. One especially exciting addition was the introduction of the new Hero Class: Death Knight. This Dark Knight, highly powerful and deadly, once a servant of the Lich King but now free and instead allied with the Horde or Alliance to help in the war against his former master. Starting at Level 55 the lich king is a highly popular class among WoW players.

One of the reasons why the Dark Knights are so special is that not only are they highly skilled in melee and spell casting, they also have their own resource system and their own special profession known as Death Knight runeforging. Read on if you want to know what Runeforging is all about.

Basically, Runeforging is the ability to inscribe runes on your Death Knight's Runeweapon giving it a permanent weapon buff. These runes work similarly to enchants in that they give your Death Knights weapon additional abilities or attack power boost.

There are currently one runeforge available in Ebon Hold, others are found in in Shadow vault and the instance Naxxramas.

To start with, there are eight primary runes to be found, scaling between Level 55 and Level 65.

The steps on how to do the Death Knight runeforging are the following:

1. Get to Ebon Hold. You can use the portal skill Death Gate to get there fast.

2. Once you are in Ebon Hold, you can find the Runeforge  around the upper chamber.

3. Choose the rune you want by clicking on your spellbook. Remember, only one rune can be used at once.

Every time you go to the Rune Forge, the existing rune will be replaced with the new rune you choose. So, plan your gameplay and hoose the runes that will help you in your current way of playing.

The first Enchants available to Death Knights at level 55 include:

* Rune of Razorice (frost) - Extra 1% damage (as Frost Damage) to their weapon, adding extra damage to their opponent.

* Rune of Cinderglacier (frost) - Extra 20% damage to their opponent for the next 3 attacks (from Frost or Shadow) for 30 seconds.

At level 57, they will gain two more enchants including:

* Rune of Spellshattering (unholy) - Deflect 4% spell damage from any attacks cast by their enemies.

* Rune of Spellbreaking (unholy) - Deflect 2% spell damage from any attacks cast by their enemies

At level 60, Death Kights gain only one more enchant:

* Lichbane (blood) - Extra fire damage and a 5 second stun.

At level 63, the following enchants will be available:

* Swordbreaking (blood) - Increases parry chanse by 2%.

* Swordshattering (blood) - Increases Parry chance by 4%.

Finally at level 70, Death knights gain:

* Fallen Crusader (unholy)
- for 15 seconds, you heal 3% faster and strength also becomes 30% more.

Study the runes buffs and adapt them to your own playing style and the skills that your Death Knight already has.
