Wow – Tailoring Levelling Guide

Wow – Tailoring Levelling Guide

It takes a lot of time to level up when tailoring which is why doing it casually or power leveling it will only turn them right off the skill. The amount of cloth and ingredients in some parts of the progression from 1 to 450 can discourage people right off the bat and cause insane amounts of gold to be spent to try and compensate and get right to the end goal. With this guide we will show you the quickest and most efficient way to get from 1 to 450 without stressing you out!

Tailoring in the World of Warcraft is one of the most crucial and well used skills in the game. Tailors can make cloth equipment and even spell threads that can be attached to pants for significant statistical bonuses. Tailors in general are usually classes like priests and mages that rely solely on cloth armour and cannot wear any of the other armour types like leather, mail or plate.

The kinds of cloth that a tailor can make expanded in the Burning Crusade expansion as you can specialize into one of three Cloth types. Spellcloth, Shadowcloth, and Primal Mooncloth. They each have their unique qualities and benefits.

Some tailoring items are “BOP” which simply minds bind on pick up or bind on creation. This means that when you make the item, it is bound to your character and can only be sold to a vendor, disenchanted, or destroyed. “BOE” or Bind on Equip items are items you can trade with other players and even sell on the auction house. “BOE” items are a big part of tailors striving to become high level, as they will be able to make raiding gear and sell it to others raiders, therefore not only providing a much needed service to the server which the character calls home, but also providing a steady stream of income so long as you don’t try to gouge the buyers for ridiculous amounts.

What Things Should I Avoid?

When you are following the guide, you are still prone to mistakes just because we are humans and tend to follow certain patterns. Resist the urge to go to the auction house and buy up every pattern. The guide will tell you what patterns you need, and if its not in the guide, don’t bother with it until you completely level the tailoring. You can fill in the gaps AFTER you are done.

We tend to like to collect sets and when you see these patterns lying around on Auction House or from other players in trade channel, you want to purchase them. Don’t bother, follow the guide and you won’t go wrong.

Will Tailoring benefit Future Raiding or Instancing for my Character?

To gear up for instances, you like to have a certain amount of equipment when you start out. With tailoring you can have some epic (high quality) pieces before you even set foot into a dungeon. Tailoring pieces rival the pieces you can get from dungeons themselves.

Following the instructions in this guide will get you to 450 tailoring in no time and allow you to start reaping the rewards of having your own personal tailor on call!
